Rapper Snoop Dogg has made it no secret his longstanding disdain for the sitting president Donald Trump, but some say he took a step too far when he – alongside BADBADNOTGOOD & Kaytranada – recently unveiled the controversial video for ‘Lavendar (Nightfall Remix),’ a visual that sees the Doggfather shoot a toy gun at a clown-faced version of the U.S. Commander-In-Chief (named Ronald Klump).
Trump’s lawyer took to TMZ to call the clip ‘disgraceful’ while Senator Marco Rubio suggested it could encourage assassination attempts on the president. Their sentiments are far from few as a number of Twitter users took to the social media platform to not only echo, but also damn the Grammy-nominated emcee for his treason and mocking the Donald. Birthing the trending topic #BoycottSnoopDogg, the Jesse Wellens and James DeFina-directed video got so much traction reports are coming in the U.S. Secret Service is “aware” of the video may be keeping an eye on Snoop (read more on that by clicking here).
