Billboard Hot 100 is becoming a man’s world once again.
Barring entries from serial hitmakers Rihanna and Taylor Swift, the chart’s upper dectet is completely made up of men – with the day’s biggest male hitmakers – The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, and Ed Sheeran – all seeing their name among the top ten’s tenants.
The latter, whose mega hit ‘Shape of You’ lodged its eighth non-consecutive week atop charts this week, still rings as the clear leader of all the data arenas that make up chart placements: digital sales, streaming, and radio airplay. However, with impressive gains from the likes of Weeknd’s Daft Punk-assisted ‘I Feel It Coming’ and Mars’ out of this world hit, ‘That’s What I Like,’ Sheeran’s eighth week at the top just may be his last.
Until we find out for sure, tuck in below to read this week’s refreshed TGJ Chart Check:
That song sounds like TLC No Scrubs

I feel it coming needs a video to push it to number 1
It has a video boo boo…it’s good too!

I Never Knew How Songs On The Billboard Charts Go Up & Down. How Does A Song On The Billboard Charts Operate? Does It Determine On Sales Or Is It a 7 Man Opinionated Business Like The Grammys?
As of 2017, Billboard Hot 100 chart rankings are based on sales (physical and digital), radio play and online streaming…The formula of the Hot 100 is predominantly made up from sales and airplay. Sales contributes 35-45 percent with airplay adding 30-40 percent and streaming 20-30 percent. The specific numbers of percentage vary from week to week! Sales and streaming tracking runs Friday through Thursday and airplay Monday through Sunday.
Billboard recalibrated the formula in January/February, but I never got the new breakdown. They said it was to account for the growing strength of streaming, so my guess is that streaming and sales have probably switched weights by now.
This song has had no true impact
Neither does Porshas pussssy.
I’m not a fan of “shape of you” but that Bruno song is everything
Nicki looking iconic and legendary with a top 15 chart entry… Queen of billboard is about to slay that top 10 real soon
She’s not.
Maybe a Ed sheeran collab will help Nicki solidify that Record with a #1 hit
Nicki is fine.
Even When Nicki Gets A Number One Single, Nicki will Have the Crown for queen Of 73+ Failed Attempys To Reach Num. 1

Wow James Arthur climbing the charts, that song is so good:) hope it keeps climbing
Bruno song is better. He needs to be number 1.
So the so celebrated by some fans who live only through the charts Rihanna´s top5 from last weak was just another forgettable chart move created by a mix of everything minus real big sales, as usual lol and laste done week. Seriously!
Charts are a joke. And real album sales will always be more respected.
Everyone did a good job
