What they had to say about it all when we caught up with them recently?

Joined by Rhona Bennett, Cindy Herron and Terry Ellis will storm the market with a brand new show created to honour the group’s hit-kissed discography and salute its former members Dawn Robinson and Maxine Jones.
“The show will be bigger than our earlier shows“, the group explains when our interview begins. “Our fans will be taken through a journey through our music and hear how much we’ve grown and changed as a group since ‘Born to Sing'”.

We love Europe and so it made sense for us to celebrate the next chapter in our career with our fans out there. Also, so much of the next album is inspired by the continent’s music scene and has helped us find the balance between our signature sound and what’s contemporary.
Helping them find that balance are Dem Jointz, Raphael Saadiq and, much to the delight of their die-hard fans, the group’s founders Denzil Foster and Thomas McElroy.
What’s most exciting about the new album is that its eclectic and pulls from all of the music we’re inspired by. So there are elements from Boss Nova, Dance music, Pop, Rock and R&B. Lyrically, it’s message driven. ‘Free Your Mind’ is just as important today as it was when we released it in ’92 and so our goal is to share stories which are just as powerful.
When asked about talk surrounding a proposed New Edition-style biopic the group admits that “we aren’t interested in that at the moment but never say never.”
What fans would be most surprised to learn from a movie about the group’s journey.
We never fought…at least not with each other. People would be shocked to find out that any drama about the group always happened outside of it because we never made it personal. That’s why, even after all these years, we believe- that if everyone was happy with the terms and agreements- fans could see the group as it is now and the group as it was reunite. The door will always be open because the love never left.
We can’t wait for everyone to see the European tour and the U.S. tour that will follow it. Our fans have been with us for almost thirty years and we feel deeply connected to them. This feeling has inspired everything from the lights, costumes and set list. Come out and have a good time with us.
