In the midst of a sea of singles launched yesterday and today (see: Zayn, David Guetta/Nicki Minaj, Mariah Carey/Remy Ma, Chris Brown, Iggy Azalea, and more), the surprise release of ‘Heart IV’ – the latest chapter of Lamar’s ongoing ‘Heart’ series – rose to the top of the iTunes Top 100 just hours after its release.
Serving as evidence of the high anticipation for its yet-titled parent album, the follow-up to 2015’s ‘To Pimp a Butterfly,’ the ringing response to ‘Heart IV’ is due in great part to social media buzz as listeners wonder who the emcee is dissing in the fiery tune:

Add to this, among the wealth of tunes released yesterday and today among pop, hip hop, and Urban acts, Lamar’s title is the only one among them to even touch iTunes Top 100’s top 10!
