Iggy Azalea has dropped bodacious new single ‘Mo Bounce.’
Unleashed on Beats 1 radio moments ago, the futuristic jam is the second taste of the rapper’s sophomore album ‘Digital Distortion.’ It follows 2016’s buzz cut ‘Team.’
Currently at an important junction of her career, Iggy most certainly needs this newest number give her career the ‘Bounce’ back it needs.
Does it deliver, though? Listen below and let us know…
Definitely different to what we were expecting.
Sure, it’s the club cut its title implies. However, it’s structurally the inverse of what we were anticipating.
Most Iggy singles the verses skew somewhere between “blah” and “acceptable” – with the chorus almost always being the main attraction.
With ‘Mo Bounce,’ the verses have the most snatching qualities while the “hook” (or lack there of) leaves a fair amount to be desired.
Still, per the video teaser, we expect the Aussie act to compensate for any sonic shortcomings with a visual that almost demands it go viral.
On the merit of the song alone, is Iggy onto a hit? Let us know…
