Nicki Minaj‘s decision not to counter Remy Ma‘s ‘Shether’ diss number with an immediate clap back has been disappointing to say the least.
However, what isn’t disappointing is the rapper’s unmatched and enviable success on a global front with Hip-Hop music.
How she continues to cast a hot pink shadow over efforts launched by the likes of Lil Kim, Eve, Iggy Azalea and the aforementioned Ma?
Good news below…
Sans streams, the Hip-Hop riot’s global album sales have seen her join Missy Elliott and Lauryn Hill to stand as one of the highest-selling female rappers of all time.
Often praised for the speed in which she outsold the discographies of some of her more seasoned peers, Minaj’s chart run have now seen achieve a stellar feat in the United Kingdom.
As of last week, the rapper’s material has spent a total of 380 weeks in the Official Charts’ Top 75 thanks to high and mighty chart runs clocked by the likes of ‘Beez in the Trap’, ‘Only’, ‘Your Love’, ‘Moment 4 Life‘ and ‘Feeling Myself.’
A staple in the Top 40 (she’s spent 229 weeks in it) since August 28th 2010, her success on the charts mirrors the glory she’s secured on a touring tip since the launch of her debut album ‘Pink Friday.’
With these numbers, Minaj sets the record for being the only female rapper to spend more than 300 weeks within the U.K’s Top 100.
