Ed Sheeran‘s brand of frills-less Pop is proving quite the winner.

The British superstar’s soaring popularity carries him to the cover of Rolling Stone magazine during a week when his third album ‘÷’ is flying off the shelves worldwide.

Both the UK’s Official Charts Company and Billboard in the US have the guitar carrying crooner on course to open with over 500,000 equivalent units in both regions.

The feat, which is almost guaranteed as this junction, will see the 26-year-old reign as the biggest selling debut of the year thus far. And when looking at the state of sales industry wide, it wouldn’t be surprising if his crown stays in place year-round.
