Fresh from a successful stint on The Voice UK, the songbird has returned to the studio to work on her fourth studio album.
Having already served up a taste in the form of promo single ‘Remember Me,’ J.Hud stopped by Sway’s Universe to open up about the project.
Refreshingly candid, the powerhouse revealed that she finally understands herself as an artist – rather than just a voice.
She went on to elaborate that her approach this go round is to not merely be a vessel for a producer’s vision, but to relay her own views.

Multiple Grammy Winner, Jennifer Hudson is a true artist and her music is maturing based upon the new co-written single “Remember Me.” I love the new direction of her music in which it is reflecting of that maturity. I am predicting great things will happen with her forthcoming album, if she continues in this new direction. We will remember Hudson, if she is presenting music like her hot new single.
Honestly speaking Jennifer has some major chops but I have to agree her as an artist has yet to be defined and that is why it has been hard to relate to her opposed to some of her peers. Instead of Clive trying to make her go the Whitney route he should allow Jennifer to establish herself as Jennifer the artist.
