Is Hip-Hop’s aversion for Lil Yatchy‘s pro-gay ‘Teenage Emotions’ album to blame for the modest first week sales it drew in?
Execs at Capitol will undoubtedly search high and low for the answer to that question as they find themselves faced with after watching the project welcome only 46,000 units in its opening week.
The set opened at #5 and was outsold by Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Damn’ which spent this week at #2, almost three months after its unveiling.
How Yatchy feels about it all?
I certainly wouldn’t buy an album with that cover…
His album was actually good
as long as he can tour and sell tickets that’s all that matters
Yeah to his record label. He is under a 360 deal.
Never heard of him, but his name…his hair…and his bizarre album cover is all too weird for my taste. Even if he does have talent (which I doubt) and his music is good (which I doubt), I wouldn’t be interested in him, based on how he chooses to present himself. Someone needs to tell him that presentation matters.
Joe Budden made him famous…at least to me. And what brand???
This is the same dude who said 2pac and Biggie were overrated. He also didn’t know whether or not he was signed to a 360 deal. He’s a typical naive kid who doesn’t realize his time in the spotlight is almost up.
sorry, who?
Flop is a flop *Kanye shrug* ?♀️
Are these numbers even bad for someone who isn’t even a household name yet? I’d say a top 5 debut is much higher than expected.
