Bruno Mars Sales Elevates Sony’s Publishing Power

Published: Friday 11th Aug 2017 by David

Bruno Mars’ unstoppable chart reign has given the folks over at Sony ATV cause to rejoice this morning.

How so?

The company’s shares in his songs have seen them surpass their rivals to become the country’s #1 publisher…for the fifth consecutive year.

Sony/ATV Chairman and CEO Martin Bandier was elated when he learned of this news and issued the following statement from his castle in New York

Being in first place for five years doesn’t happen by accident, but is a tribute to the immense talent of our songwriters, the amazing songs they create and the hard work of our team.It is an amazing accomplishment and one we are very proud of.

HITS Daily Double adds:

Sony/ATV had a 23.3% market share and was represented on 49 of the top 100 songs on U.S. radio during the year’s second quarter.
