Cardi B‘s star is rocketing into the stratosphere.
As reported, the former reality personality is enjoying huge success with her Billboard smash ‘Bodak Yellow’ – which has thus far peaked at #3 on the Hot 100.
Last night saw the Bronx bred belle perform the track on the pre-show of the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.
Prior to her showing, she spoke with Billboard about her success, dreams of collaborating with Lady Gaga, and murmurs of a beef with Nicki Minaj.

As for the incessant push for a Nicki feud, it’s clear Ms. B won’t be feeding into the hoopla.
Should her climb continue though, it will be intriguing to see what the climate looks like in the female rap lane as it would no longer be as mono as it has been.

She went #1 in my book. I’m sure there is a hip-hop chart left somewhere left on Billboard she could come in at #1. Taylor’s #1 was paid for by her and her record label because Taylor’s song belongs in the toilet and not on anyone’s playlist.

Not so fast though. Trina is hip-hop and had a song with Lady Gaga that was still hip-hop (check youtube). Gaga just brings in the pop fans to a hip-hop artist. No need for a hip-hop artist to assimilate because pop is not where the opening is within the industry. The position is for a female hip-hop MC and somebody needs to fill the position ASAP.
