Pink‘s efforts to pull the heat out of her rivalry with Christina Aguilera have been to no avail this week as their fans continue to clash online.
Why?
Aguilera’s supporters had hoped that she would receive this year’s Vanguard award from the MTV Video Music Awards and were crushed when they learned that Pink was to receive it.

The issue is too many had heard a “rumor” about Christina winning said award. Those rumors were just fabrications one person made out of thin air. We all believed it and the blogs posted about it as fact. Now that is a slap in the face if fans who expected reality from false claims. I’m a HUGE Christina fan, but MTV hasn’t be messing with her since woohoo performance at the MTV movie awards (besides for feature music video that got nominations). Anyways, stop getting mad for something that was NEVER a real plan.

I love Xtina & wish she was getting the award too, but they all need to just stop. It’s not that deep. and like someone said, they’re going off of a rumor that was never even hinted at being true.
What does their beef have to do with anything? Pink deserves the award over Xtina. Xtina’s fans are delusional.

Love Xtina but she doesn’t deserve the Vanguard Award.., I would hasten that neither does Pink tbh but she’s at least remained consistent in the public eye music wise to justify being nominated. I love Xtina and I’m hungry for new music but her last consistent visual era was BTB, Bionic might have followed but she became reductive and only served I think one video from that project. If she wants to be acknowledged then she needs to work harder and put the effort in on all levels, not just in the studio.
I think Christina’s overall success is bigger than Pink’s! Still, Pink has remain “relevant” longer. I guess one can rationalize things both ways! I’d personally go with Christina over Pink for the award, but it’s no biggie! Pink was chosen and it’s not a good look to hate on that!

Both Christina and Pink are great. But comparing the two careers is apples and oranges. Christina has embarked on many endeavors talent shows Etc. Pink has remained true to her Pursuits as an artist enough said.
