Azealia Banks is rebuilding.
Recent years have seen the industry ditch the once-promising prospect after an endless list of spats on social media.
And while her name routinely finds itself in the messy mix, it appears she’s looking to re-affix the focus on her music.
Ahead of a live show tomorrow, the Brooklyn bred talent took front-stage centre on FOX’s Good Day New York this morning to perform.
Her song of choice? ‘The Big Big Beat,’ which is lifted from her 2016 mixtape ‘Slay-Z.’
Peep the performance below…
More of this please!
She delivered, especially with her live singing. It wasn’t Whitney Houston, but she definitely held her own better than some of today’s R&B belles.
Some may argue it too late, but if she continues to keep the focus on showings like this and less on the social media theatrics and bleaching creams, she could claw back some of the steam she lost. Maybe not all, but some. The ball ultimately is in her court.
Say what you want about Azealia Banks; she was so young when she came out and got shut out of the industry for her mistakes which she owns and takes responsibility for. I support her and her music, she has what it takes to really come back and be a force to be reckoned with. Wish her nothing but the best.
But yet still making this even same mistakes as of last week. Chile you can’t blame age for her antics. She’s still biting the hands that feed her.
Actually like her sound!! ?
cool.
Breaks my heart to see her performing on these E list platforms when she could have been gracing awards show stages and stadiums.
well, she has to start somewhere again–after all the bridges she’s burnt you can’t really expect otherwise. i’m hopeful she’ll slowly rebuild herself, though.
I thought she was from Harlem ???
She is.. they tried it
