Bruno Mars Announces CBS Primetime Special ’24k Magic: Live At The Apollo’

Bruno Mars is leaving no stone unturned in his quest to make the ’24k Magic’ era his biggest yet.

For, the dynamite performer has just announced a huge televised special with CBS.

A first for the singer, the primetime spectacle named ‘Bruno Mars – 24k Magic: Live At The Apollo’ will air November 29th at 10pm ET.

Taped at the legendary Apollo Theater in New York City, Mars kicked things off with an electrifying performance atop the venue’s iconic marquee.

He and his band, the Hooligans, will also be shown taking the fun to the streets; visiting, singing and entertaining locals in intimate, must-see moments.

Other aspects of the broadcast, which is being co-produced by Mars, will continue to tape over the coming weeks.

Speaking in a statement, Jack Sussman, CBS Entertainment’s Executive Vice President of Specials, Music and Live Events said:

“Bruno Mars is the ultimate live performer of this generation. He is the very definition of event television. He burns the roof off the Apollo while paying respect to its tradition and history. We at CBS are proud to be broadcasting his first TV special.”

Co-Executive Producer Ben Winston added:

“For me, Bruno Mars is the greatest performer in the world. To be producing his first television special is a true honor. This will be a special show and a special night.”

’24k Magic’ the album has sold over 1 million copies in the US, while its like-titled tour has proven immensely successful and will continue playing to arenas across the globe right through to May 2018.
