Kelly Rowland fans no doubt have a PHD in patience. For, it’s been almost five years since the singer released her last album ‘Talk A Good Game.’
In the time since, she’s become a mother, toggled between TV projects, other entrepreneurial endeavours, and recording her next LP.
Now, as she gears up RNB Live Tour in Australia, she’s updated
Speaking to News AU, Ms. Kelly said of the as yet untitled project:
“It definitely feels like it’ll be out next year.”
As for which label it’ll arrive on, Rowland reveals she’s “in-between” record deals. A reality she says she enjoys – despite certain drawbacks:
“I’m happy to have some freedom. You can do it yourself now. It’s an interesting place to be but it’s also expensive when you do it yourself. You need a good distributor for sure, I’d like to have some distribution options on the table.”
Based on that statement, it “appears” she’s recording it herself and will pair up with a distributor to…well…distribute. If indeed the case, the delay makes more sense and would see more lucrative returns for Kelly.
That said, timing is (as always) of the essence, so we’re hoping it arrives sooner rather than later. Impatience can turn to frustration if fans aren’t fed with music adequately.
We’re rooting for Kelly. Are you?
