I’m not playing music of a 37 year old talking about popping bottles in a club. This is why R&B is dead instead of being AHEAD of the culture, it’s way behind hip hop and it’s silly lil trends. And people wonder why only Rihanna and Beyonce are the only ones popping, they’re ahead of the sound and don’t fall for trends. This song doesn’t have a signature sound, this can be given to anyone and by anyone, it can be male or female, R&B, pop or rap artists. The ladies and R&B fellas need to do better, it can be done seeing THAT SZA and Bruno Mars are successful with forward and classic R&B sounds.

Well, Riri and Bey follow trends too. pour it up, drunk in love, 7/11 and many more from their repertoire have today’s trap feel. However, I believe that these two artists have very distinct and unique sounds which helps to set them apart from the other artists with similar production and tracks. In. In my opinion, Miguel is more progressive than Bruno mars. Bruno is currently inspired by Arne and funk music of the late 1980’s and early 90’s. a lot of 24k magic has been done already, but he borrowed the structure and nuances of yesterday’s artist and put his spin on it. I actually dig Ashanti’s track and I believe her intention is to secure a song that sits well on radio today, which in return will aid in carving out her own lane. She must catch our attention first, then show us what she’s all about proceeding. I’m ready for her! Her look and image is OD LIT!
