The reality of Miley Cyrus‘ predicament seems to be having a stinging effect on the singer.
Indeed, despite initial promise, her stripped back reinvention with new album ‘Younger Now’ hasn’t garnered appreciation from critics or fans; the latter of which have not been rushing to buy the set as they did with prior projects.
During an interview with on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM show today, she offered a reaction of sorts to the matter.
See what she had to say below…
Chatting to Stern, Cyrus moaned:
“I f*cking hate the charts, who are you to tell me if my music is good or bad”
Shortly after though, eagle-eyed responders collated a series of tweets from the star that suggest…otherwise:
The reality is that the charts and sales do matter, especially in the Pop sphere. They oft have a direct impact on touring ability and other means of brand maximisation. Hence, we’re not quite sure we buy her schtick, which sounds like convenient spin in light of her soft sales.
