Liam Payne‘s quest for solo stardom presses on with the release of new single ‘Bedroom Floor.’
Co-penned by Charlie Puth and Steve Mac, the track finds the former One Direction star once again on Urban-Pop terrain.
He’ll no doubt be looking to best the success of preceding single ‘Strip That Down’ – which went on to come the biggest-selling solo single from a current member of 1D – selling over 5 million units worldwide.
Speaking on ‘Bedroom,’ Payne says
“I’m so excited to finally release this song. I’ve been working on it for a while and am really happy with how it sounds. It’s a bit different from what you’ve heard from me before, but helps to show where I’m going with my album. It’s very important to me to keep challenging myself, to keep pushing into new areas.”

Hmm. Liam has potential, but he’s fast seemingly like an artist that is great on paper but in practicality is a day late and a dollar short. Indeed, much of his everything feels like it would have been “hip” in 2008.
‘Bedroom,’ though not as contrived, sadly has the same problem as its predecessor: it’s vocally empty, lyrically lacking, and somehow manages to sound like it’s dated and trend chasing at the same time.
