New Video: Toni Braxton – ‘Deadwood’

Toni Braxton is celebrating her 50th birthday early with the debut of the video for ‘Deadwood.’

The scintilating single is the first to be taken from the legend’s album ‘Sex & Cigarettes’ – which is her first solo body of work in seven years.

Longtime collaborator Billie Woodruff directs the monochrome clip, which finds Braxton sad but resilient.

Simple, but effective. We continue to be all sorts of buzzed for Ms. Braxton’s album. She’s consistently consistent, yet seems to be the most musically and topically secure than she has been in a long while. She says her new LP will be serve up “grown and sexy” and this is a solid first swing.
