It’s official kids!
After months of speculation, the NFL & Pepsi have finally confirmed Justin Timberlake will be headlining the 2018 Super Bowl!
Details inside:
Sending fans into a frenzy, Timberlake took to Twitter moments ago to announce the news:
The Grammy-winner – whose Super Bowl history reads most notoriously of the infamous “nipple-gate” that temporarily derailed the career of pop icon Janet Jackson – was originally rumored to be co-headlining the gig with ‘Suit & Tie’ co-star Jay Z (read more on that by clicking here). Jay squashed those rumors after he, in an act of support for disenfranchised footballer Colin Kaepernick, expressed (in so many words) no desire to have dealings with the NFL.
Timberlake apparently doesn’t share the sentiment.
Pop star Justin Timberlake has been announced as the headlining act of the Super Bowl 52 Halftime Show, more than a decade after his controversial performance with Janet Jackson in 2004.
The show will mark Timberlake’s third time on the stage, having previously appeared in 2002 and 2004. This will give him the distinction of having the most appearances by an individual entertainer.

Congratulations are certainly due to Justin (we guess). A revered performer in his own regard, his wealth of hits should provide quite the entertaining set. The news – hardly unexpected – almost confirms fans can also expect a new album and tour from the hitmaker in the coming months as well.
