According to TMZ, a $20 million lawsuit filed by Laura Helm has been dismissed by a judge.
See, Helm had claimed that she had unprotected sex with the ‘Confessions’ singer and that he transmitted the virus onto her during said exchange.
The only problem though is that during a recorded phone call she is reportedly heard telling the other person that she had protected sex with the star. This call took place just two days before she filed her suit.
Perhaps sensing the case was in tatters, Helm’s lawyer withdrew.
Helm managed to secure new representation, who immediately motioned to dismiss the initial case. The catch? Said filing was done without prejudice and with specific “intent to refile” – meaning it’s not over yet.
