The pairing comes at an interesting juncture for both ladies.
Riding the wave of momentum drummed up by debut ‘SweetSexySavage,’ Kehlani has seen her profile soar in recent months thanks to a series of collabs – including a spot on Eminem‘s ‘Revival’ album. A trajectory that looks set to continue with this venture.
As for Mary, she’s wasting no time moving on to newness musically. ‘Strength’ aptly had a few strong songs on it, but ultimately didn’t deliver commercially. Perhaps this teaming will yield the winning bops she’s angling for.
The session took place one week after the legend was nominated for a Best Supporting Actres award at the 2018 Golden Globes for her role in ‘Mudbound.’
