After months of finger-pointing and shade-throwing between herself and the production company, Carey – ever the fighter – mended fences with Dick Clark Productions and was invited back for a redemptive performance.
Belting out classic hits ‘Hero’ and ‘Vision of Love,’ the most anticipated moment of the singer’s career (as of late) came tonight when she took to the ‘New Year’s Rockin Eve 2018’ stage.
Did she pull it off? Look inside to see:
A few bum notes here or there, but overall the performance served its purpose. Sailed through like a pro (given the weather and undoubted nerves), we appreciate Carey’s willingness to grace the very same stage that brought her shame and remind people the gift is still there. She was very “present” and, just as important, she sang live.
Here’s hoping we see more performances like this from the diva throughout the year.
