Xscape Sign Management Deal With Vince Herbert

Published: Friday 1st Dec 2017 by Sam

Xscape continue to make major moves on their comeback campaign.

With a TV show, tour, and biopic under their belts, the group are turning their attention to music – the first fruit of which arrived today in the form of songs ‘Dream Killa’ and ‘Wifed Up.’

And it appears that’s just a taste of what’s to come, because the R&B ensemble have tapped Vince Herbert as to shepherd their musical endeavours moving forward.

Details below…

Speaking exclusively to Hip-Hollywood, Tiny, Tamika, and LaTocha revealed that they’ve hired the well-known exec as their manager.

Explaining that Mona Scott Young will continue managing Xscape’s TV and film endeavours, they confirm that Herbert (famed for his work with Lady Gaga, ex Tamar Braxton, and more recently Remy Ma) will handle all things music.

Tamika said of the partnership:

“We sat down with him, had some food and just talked, like how most business takes place, he just got our vision and he saw the potential in us”

Tiny added:

“We love what he did with Tamar and Lady Gaga and we also knew he understood the business. We’re really excited.”

Elaborating on what’s coming next, the ladies (who won’t be joined by Kandi due to her commitments outside the group) confirm that they’re readying an EP.

LaTocha said of the creation process:

“We’ve been working with Tricky Stewart, and the songs are really amazing. We worked really hard. We recorded six songs, in like six days.”

*************

Interesting….on  number of fronts.

The ladies are clearly passionate about making new music part of their reunion push; and thus far, we’re liking what we’re hearing. Fingers crossed Vince (who is very capable) can help steer the trio to the successes they seek.

From where we’re standing, another season of their show (or a new show entirely) would be the smartest move to support their fresh material.

Either way, we’re willing to give them a chance. Are you?
