The R&B vocalist Chante Moore has seen her personal life hit a sour note now that she has been accused of using money obtained illegally to purchase her own albums!
Wild allegations from Moore’s former friends below…
In a lawsuit filed last year two men claim that Moore knowingly accepted money she knew they had obtained illegally to produce her latest album and “inflate its sales artificially.”
In their lawsuit, the two men claim the defendants used some of their money to buy Moore plane tickets for her musical tour, lavish her with gifts, fund the production of and marketing campaign for her seventh album, “The Rise of the Phoenix,” and even to “pay off her significant personal debt.”
The plaintiffs even claim the investments made into her career “were designed in whole or in part to conceal or disguise the nature, the location, the source, the ownership, and the control of the proceeds” of the alleged illegal activity.
Moore has asked a judge to throw the case out and has denied claims that she used the cash they gave her to purchase her own albums on iTunes with hopes doing so would see him secure a commendable chart position for the project she was promoting at the time.
Unfortunately, the album failed to impact the Billboard 200.
Keep it locked on TGJ for more on this developing story.
Chile she shouldve asked for MOORE money
lmao ?
Buying ur own album multiple times isn’t illegal lmao. Desperate but not against the law.
You must be a Tamar fan.
I kind of believe this… smh sad
I don’t believe this…
Especially an album that didn’t sale much. I think she is making music for her hardcore fans and because she enjoys it. She could have easily stopped. She has released four solo albums, two duet albums with Kenny and a holiday album. None of which made major dents on any chart. I don’t see her trying to purchase albums to make herself look bigger.
Still an incredible performer and incredible vocalist with a great range. If your in doubt about her talent: AS IF WE NEVER MET. PRECIOUS. IN MY LIFE. THIS MOMENT IS MINE.
