Justin Timberlake teams with Country star Chris Stapleton in the video for ‘Say Something’ – the latest taste of new album ‘Man of The Woods.’
Due February 2nd (just two days before he takes to the stage at the Super Bowl), the LP serves as JT’s fourth and is tipped for big things commercially.
Initial singles ‘Filthy’ and ‘Supplies’ were both released to a mixed response. Can this switch things around?

Better…but blah.
From a production standpoint, this boasts an anthemic sound that packs enough umph to fill up a stadium. Melodically, it’s easily the most catchy of Timberlake’s recent offerings too.
However, when all of its facets are lined up together, it just sounds like noise. And not necessarily bad noise. But noise all the same. It’s as if there’s a strong melody and hook living in there somewhere, however it feels lost in the volume.
Same with the lyrics, it’s not immediately clear what he’s singing about. Although, in the era of mumble rap, it’s not as if the latter will make-or-break the song’s chances on the charts.
We’re at number three of four planned pre-release tracks and we’re still wondering where this “next level, game changing” heat Pharrell and Timbaland promised. Because right now the only temperature we’re feeling is lukewarm.
