According to TMZ, 31-year-old LaBelle and her partner, ex NBA star Rasual Butler, were killed in a single car crash in Studio City, CA this morning.
38-year-old Butler is said to have lost control of his Range Rover around 2am, which hit a parking meter and slammed into a wall; with the car, which is believed to have been speeding – flipping over.
LaBelle, a notable R&B singer, first rose to prominence on American Idol in 2004 and signed with Epic Records later in her career.
