Janelle Monae is set to power-up her ‘Dirty Computer’ album campaign in a major way next week.
For while the LP itself will arrive on April 27th, the singer will launch a 44-minute visual the day prior in partnership with BET and MTV.

‘Dirty Computer: An Emotion Picture By Janelle Monae’ is billed as “a visually stunning Emotion Picture with a vibrant narrative featuring celebratory music videos.”
It follows young woman named Jane 57821 (Monae), who is living in a near-future society where people are referred to as “computers.” ‘Thor’ and ‘Selma’ star Tessa Thompson joins the singer in the production.
Thematically, the film explores humanity and what truly happens to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness when mind and machines merge, and when the government chooses fear over freedom.
In an unprecedented move, the album movie will air exclusively throughout the day of April 26th on MTV and BET stations worldwide including MTV, MTV2, MTV Live, mtvU, BET, BET Jams, BET Soul and BET.
‘Dirty Computer,’ the album, features previously released songs ‘Make Me Feel,’ ‘Django Jane,’ and ‘I Like That.’

She works very hard but she would be a lot further along in her career right now if she had vocal talent. She is not a singer. Stick to the subject at hand. Since when was vocal talent required to have a successful singing career. Madonna, Janet Jackson, Brittney are proof of that. Meanwhile Janelle Monae is a very good singer. Lizzy Madonna, Janet, and Britney all have soothing sexx voiced and thet are showgirls destined to be mainstream. Jamel let is a showgirl but her voice is annoying. If her voice was more soothing she would be a bigger artist already.

What? Janelle can definitely sing. And she has a great tone too. It perfectly matches the music she does and her artistry. She definitely can perform and live live too (see any Cold War performance). She definitely is better at singing than Rihanna for example (whose only talent related to music is supposed to be singing). Overall Janelle is a way better artist than Beyonce no doubt. But Beyonce is maisntream material, which is not teh case for everybody.

She´s SO good and creative. It´s the only album I´m looking forward to buy this year so far (terrible terrible year). Can´t wait. Loved Electric Lady. The collabo with Prince was amazing and songs like rock&Roll or What an experience… it was everything!
