Shania Twain has largely avoided scandal over the course of illustrious career – but that all changed today and in the most unexpected way.
For, In an interview to promote the international leg of her ‘Now Tour,’ the Canadian Country Pop icon revealed that she would have voted for Donald Trump if she could.

“It is not the only way in which she expresses her conservatism. If she had been able to vote in the US election, she would have plumped for Donald Trump, she says. “I would have voted for him because, even though he was offensive, he seemed honest. Do you want straight or polite? Not that you shouldn’t be able to have both. If I were voting, I just don’t want bull****. I would have voted for a feeling that it was transparent. And politics has a reputation of not being that, right?”
Naturally, this irked a large portion of Twain’s liberal fanbase – especially her gay supporter. For, the current administration’s views on homosexuality has consistently drawn criticism.

I think one’s political views should not be held against them. The best answer would have been her saying that she does not follow politics but in all fairness she was just giving her opinion. She is not cancelled in my playlist but she never really was in my playing outside of 2 songs from the 90s I might listen to maybe once a year if that.
