Cardi B‘s inaugural Met Gala appearance may have dominated headlines for what appeared to be a reconciliation with fellow rapstress Nicki Minaj (click here if you missed that), but as one drama cooled another was just heating up.
As has dominated headlines, the New York Police Department is currently investigating claims from Giovanni Arnold – a member of her fan base affectionately called the #BardiGang – as he alleges a group of men ganged up on and viciously attacked him for seeking an autograph from the Grammy-nominee.
The conflict? Many believe the hit was ordered by Migos hitmaker Offset while others assert Arnold instigated the assault himself. Details inside:
As footage circulated of a Cardi fan catching a serious beat down by three men as he approached her for an autograph, reports followed suggesting the hit was delivered by her fiancé, Offset, after the rapper was heard saying, “shut up before a n***a beat you out here.”
The alleged victim, Arnold, maintains Offset called for three members of his entourage – presumably security – to “go after” him for the autograph request. NYPD has confirmed Arnold didn’t show any visible signs of major trauma (barring a few bumps and bruises), but was still sent to the NY Presbytarian Hospital for examination.
And, while new visuals (courtesy of TMZ) are indicating the fan may have instigated his own attack, the NYPD also confirm Cardi nor Offset are characters of interest in the investigation. The men who perpetrated the attack, however, most certainly are.

Offset is going to be Cardi’s downfall. She SERIOUSLY needs to separate herself away from him. She is “hood” and rough around the edges herself, but Offset certainly did sick those goons on that dude. I watched two angles yesterday.
