Christina Aguilera‘s comeback crusade has just birthed haunting ballad ‘Twice.’
Issued as the latest taste of the diva’s eighth studio album ‘Liberation,’ its arrival seems to confirm murmurs that Xtina will be unwrapping newness from the LP each week in the run-up to its June 15th arrival.
And while first offering ‘Accelerate’ may have polarized, ‘Twice’ is equipped with all the ingredients longtime Aguilera fans are likely to be titillated by.

The piano production places Christina’s voice at the forefront and what a compelling performance she delivers.
She glides effortlessly between restraint and projection (a skill in itself) and ensures that above all her voice is a well-oiled vehicle for the song’s message.
At this juncture, it’s clear Xtina is firing from all cylinders. ‘Twice’ especially is easily her best offering in years and, dare we say, would fit seamlessly on her current magnum opus ‘Stripped.’
But that project aside, ‘Liberation’ is shaping up to be something special on its own accord.
June 15th couldn’t come sooner.
