Patience is a virtue.
For, five months after That Grape Juice EXCLUSIVELY revealed that Rita Ora has collaborated with Cardi B on a song named ‘Girls,’ the track has been confirmed as the star’s next single.
Dive below for details…
In a statement issued moments ago, it was announced that Rita, Cardi, Bebe Rexha, and Charli XCX will lead the charge with the female anthem.
It’ll be released May 11th via Atlantic Records.
Speaking on the track, 26-year-old Ora said:
“These past few years I’ve been so inspired by all the strong women I’ve seen who aren’t afraid to be themselves. For those who aren’t afraid to rule the world, this is our anthem. A celebration of love. And of course thank you to all the fellow boss women who so kindly graced this song with me – each representing who they are and where they are from. I hope you dance your socks off with us!”
‘Girls’ will make its debut on the eve of the singer’s European tour. It’ll also arrive as she gears up to release her long-awaited sophomore album – which now boasts more momentum than ever.
As at writing, Rita has sold a seismic seven million singles, had 12 top ten singles (five of which received Platinum status and five of which are gold certified).
Last year alone, she amassed 1 billion streams and views worldwide across four singles.
Needless to say, it looks like ‘Girls’ will see these stats climb even higher.
