Teyana Taylor‘s new album ‘K.T.S.E’ is finally here!
The hotly anticipated set is the latest release to be executive produced by Kanye West and issued via his G.O.O.D Music imprint. It’s also the latest to be delayed past its initial due date.
Set for arrival yesterday (June 22nd), fine-tuning courtesy of Kanye has held up affairs – despite the LP being launched with an elaborate release party. A predicament Kid Cudi, Pusha T, and Nas all found themselves in with their Ye affiliated offerings.
In any case, as the age old adage goes, better late than not.
Moments ago, the album (the title of which is an acronym for ‘Keep That Same Energy’), landed on streaming and retail platforms.
Interestingly, Taylor breaks the 7-track “rule” with the 8-track collection. So what are you waiting for? Listen below…

Lol. Ever met somebody who learned how to talk and got their whole vocabulary from music and social media? I met this dude one time who only spoke in Drake lyrics, internet lingo and memes. It’s the corniest sh** ever. The lyrics to this album sound just like that. Not only is this album bad. It’s embarrassing.

it’s almost good… but every song except “rose in harlem” feels unfinished. why so many songs that don’t even meet 3 minutes in length? and most of those songs miss a climax. they sound like the demos, good songs with potential to be great but she never takes them there… even if she had added some rappers…. then the album is over fast as hell. it was not worth the wait or hype. it’s a compilation of good demos
I do agree with this incomplete feel. She could have laid down some more backgrounds and stuff.
It is because Kanye only pays attention to the men on his label. Did you really think he cares about a female artist? No unless its Beyonce because Kanye wishes he were her.
This is an R&b soul album and it’s subject matter and lyrical content places this album in a traditional R&b setting. Having Kanye west on the production with his sampling techniques really compliments that sound. If you know anything about Teyana, it’s that she loves 90’s R&b. To the above who are saying this is garbage, I don’t agree. It’s good for what it is. She’s not trying to be fake deep, and it’s not pop or trap influenced. This album isn’t trying to fit in and the girl can sing.

Good music but so off Brand! Rose in Harlem and WTP are two songs that they needed to build from. Leave Ye. I’m not sure he understand how to present an entertainer.
The music is as stellar as I expected from Teyana, but I’m afraid people are not gonna take the album seriously on account of its length. 23 minutes? I mean… some of the songs don’t even sound finished (I’m thinking of you, WTP – could’ve at least give it a decent ending and not just let it stop abruptly).
With that said, I’m relieved she kept her own style instead of just releasing a collection of Migos leftovers, I was half expecting that with all the recent big-name releases.
Nonetheless this will very probably do nothing to advance her music career in any way. Kanye did her dirty for the sake of his own delusional agenda. Not feeling his whole campaign at all. Poor Teyana, Nas and Co.
It’s a mess, VII was way better and deserved way more recognition
