Kesha‘s legal duel with Dr. Luke is now looping in the names of her Pop contemporaries.
In a sensational claim, made known thanks to the unearthing of court documents, the singer is said to have accused the producer of raping Katy Perry. An accusation she shared with none other than Lady Gaga.
Full story below…
Dr. Luke has long refuted allegations that he drugged Kesha against her will and that he raped her.
However, new details – revealed via his filed denials – show that the ‘Praying’ singer made more assertions.
Via The Blast:
Kesha claimed Dr. Luke “raped Kathryn Hudson p/k/a/ Katy Perry.” It was apparently revealed in a text message sent from Kesha to Gaga.
The documents claim, “On February 26, 2016 [Kesha] sent a text message to Stefani Germanotta p/k/a/ Lady Gaga which repeated [Kesha’s] false claim that [Luke] had raped her.”
It continues, “[Kesha] also falsely asserted that [Luke] had also raped Kathryn Hudson p/k/a/ Katy Perry,” and that, “Following this text message conversation, and with [Kesha’s] encouragement, [Lady Gaga] spread negative messages about [Luke] in the press and on social media.”
Interestingly, the report goes on to add that Perry was deposed as part of the suit. However, the specifics of what she said are under seal.
Publicly though, she notably hasn’t denounced Dr. Luke. She’s explained her professional divorce from the producer as being due to the need to “leave the nest.” Ironically, she has retained the services of Luke’s former partner in rhyme Max Martin – who helmed the vast majority of her recent album ‘Witness.’
As it stands, Kesha and Dr. Luke are locked in a complicated defamation showdown.
The starlet’s initial suit, filed in 2014, claimed sexual assault and battery, sexual harassment, gender violence, civil harassment, violation of California’s unfair business laws, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligent infliction of emotional distress, and negligent retention and supervision.
Luke countersued, insisting that her claims amounted to nothing more than a shake-down to vacate a contract she signed in sound mind.
In the time since, most corners of Kesha’s original case have been dismissed and there’s been ample back and forth about jurisdiction of their respective filings (LA / NY).
Furthermore, countersuing has been a constant and both are insisting the other is attempting to defame them.
The drama continues.
Lord this is an entire mess
I made tea for everybody ☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️ #DrPuke
this is a MESS. Gaga should’ve just sat there and ate her food
I’m sure Luke is a horrible person. But I also question Kesha. Something about her just doesn’t sit well with me and I am cert
*i am certain her account is fabricated to hit her gain.
The issue I have with all these women stepping forward with these claims is the timing. You don’t get to use your p**** for beneficial gain and then cry r*** years later when the deal don’t go as plan or now that you want money, out of a deal etc. when you sit back and let things happen to you and accept the rewards, that is your consent. I’m sorry.
@Meme – Nope!
I believe her as well!!
