Newcomer Jessie Reyez stormed the 2018 VMAs this past week and draws on that momentum by dropping a remix to her single ‘Body Count.’
The rising Toronto-bred star is joined by Normani and R&B cooer Kehlani for a fresh take on the sassy song.
Over the course of the cut, the ladies trade verses and stress the importance of being able to “love who we wanna love.“
The song is lifted from Reyez’s upcoming EP ‘Being Human In Public.’
Ahead of its release, listen to the ‘Body Count’ remix below…
Cute. Very much so.
It’s warming to see three ladies, all on the come up, unite for a collaboration. Would love to see more acts – even of the seasoned ilk – follow suit. Because music need not be as political all the time.
normani’s vocalz are steadily improving. Come thru new girlz!
I agree
Y’all gon stop acting like Normani can’t sing. This song is a Fall bop!
end of Summer bop!
Lit. “And again and again and again” #Normani ??
Normani please do not do like Nicki and have a bunch of features before your album drop. I just want people to miss you and have a fresh take on your vibes.
I think doing a lot (not a crazy amount) of features will be good as it will keep her in the public’s mind. I mean let’s be honest she’s not big enough yet for people to “miss her.”
Normani!!!! She wrote tf out her verse. That’s my girl.
