Hardly surprising and, in many ways, a smart move.
Britney, authentically, is one of the first acts to redefine the semantics of a Las Vegas residency. Indeed, it’s vividly clear that in one regard she’s embracing her status as a heritage act (cashing in on her classics), yet she also remains a wholly viable contemporary Pop diva; one whose new releases are still greeted with collective excitement. It’s a rare duality that more and more are wanting to mirror.
Case in point Lady Gaga, who too will be performing her ‘Enigma’ residency at the very same venue beginning this December. The ladies will be alternating there – which serves as a huge coup for the Park Theater.
