‘A Star Is Born’ is proving to be a blockbuster on the big screen and beyond.
Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper‘s re-telling of the classic tale has been bulldozing earlier cinema projections and its soundtrack is following suit.
For, while the initial forecasts had the compilation in-line for a healthy debut (and a possible stint at the top spot), it’s now looking like a lock for the #1 slot on the Billboard 200.

According to a fresh update from Hits Daily Double, ‘Star’ is now shining even brighter with a new first week forecast of:
180,000-200,000

A marked improvement on the 140k-160k first called, it looks like the “movie effect” is gifting ‘Star’ a major boost. It’s as good as a cert that it’ll best nearest rival Twenty One Pilots too.
With its individual songs also faring well and award buzz poised to carry this into the weeks and months ahead, it’s an incredible launch for the album.
