In a brief video message, Mimi (with a little help from her son Moroccan) confirmed the set’s title and revealed that it’ll be hitting stores on November 16th.
‘Caution,’ which is preceded by buzz cut ‘GTFO’ and launch effort ‘With You,’ follows 2014’s ‘Me. I Am Mariah…The Elusive.’

I only liked one single but Mariah Carey doesn’t have one terrible album, even charm bracelet. I don’t know why some of these “older stans” are so threatened so much by Beyoncé and Gaga. She is their mother, they materialized in front of her and all the divas of old. Mariah could flop for the rest of her career and still be one of the most legendary singers of all time and the biggest selling artist of the most commercially successful years of the music industry with some stiff competition.I can’t wait to hear the album. I’m just really grateful shes making new music and I can enjoy her music while she is still her on earth, regardless of her critics and commercial results. Too many wonderful artists have passed and we rarely fully appreciate the time and energy they put into their creative body of works they share with us. Whitney Houston is a great example of this because despite not being at her best vocally, she fought through her insecurities to record another album for us. It wasn’t until her passing that all the bashing and negativity towards her, transpired into reminiscent praise. It should not be this way! Mariah managed to make a living out of the one thing she loves the most and that is music. Also, I must point out she still makes more yearly capital than the naysayers and remains booked while most of us are working a 9-5, going to school, writing negative comments about her on blogs or living off welfare. Mariah is happy and if she never sold another record, she can live off her previous accomplishments as she is currently doing and enjoy touring. Yes, her voice has changed…yes, her music has evolved. However, some fans remain loyal and if that is not you, the world will still rotate on axis.

It’s true Mariah hasn’t turned in a start to finish bad album, just some with more filler than good tracks (E=MC2) – but never a total mess.
‘With You’ is a totally inoffensive sing along comfort song – but Mariah used to have such strong lead singles.
I admire that just like ‘Almost Home’ she has made a song more fitting of her vocal range today – but WHO told her A&R to let her make a song that so obviously needs a Mariah vocal climax and bridge??? The song feel unfinished.
And regardless – she’s never going to sing the song live all the time anyway – so might as well leave the theatrics intact. I agree she has nothing to prove – but even for a fan I expect more.
