Lady Gaga is shining atop of the music and movie charts with ‘A Star Is Born,’ but is not resting on her laurels.
Moments ago, Mother Monster unveiled the video for power ballad ‘I’ll Never Love Again.’
We won’t pre-empt its semantic placement in the movie, but folk who’ve seen it will digest its significance.
Even as a standalone track, the serves as one of Gaga’s most resonating. So much so that it’s already being discussed as an Oscar favorite.
So without further ado, watch the video for ‘I’ll Never Love Again’ after the jump…
With the song having been a fixture in the iTunes top 10, is this about to follow ‘Shallow’ (which has been #1 on the tally for almost 3 weeks) as ‘A Star Is Born’s next big hit? We sure hope so.
She sounds great & I’ll see the movie when it hits Netflix!!
Bound to you Xtina vibes
This is the Greatest Vocal she has every done. This is very Whitney/Mariah-ish 1991. It will win the Oscar
Undoubtedly Gaga has arrived to reveal the raw talent that existed under all the gimmicks, stunts and costumes. Not everyone is supposed to sing a song like this – but this proves that no matter how many people hate on her or critique her – this is proof that like the greats before her she has what it takes to be around for a long time. Best vocal she’s ever made. I don’t know who that other big ballad big girl is – this feels more engaging with better tone.
Having her Streisand/whitney era n im here for it
My gosh the unexpected slayage is EVERYTHING on all fronts. Few times one can see someone silencing and winning everybody after so many trials at ending her. It´s SO SWEET to witness. I was about to say it that SHALLOW has been #1 on itunes for several weeks non stop. For the type of song it is… is amazing. When was teh last time a singer had so much success in film and also with the respective soundtrack at the same time? If she is not versatile and talented in many ways I don´t know who is atm. Congrats. Basic pop stars fans silenced forever 🙂
Amazing. Gaga is truly having a Whitney Houston/Bodyguard moment, and I am here for ALL of it.
Well it won´t be as big but you know, it still is amazing.
I’m detecting some Whitney in this song. I really like this song.
I don’t think that it is eligible for the Oscars (for the Golden Globe yes), as *SPOILER* it appears as the final scene of the film. The nominees for Best Original Song at the Oscars should start right after the end of the movie (a.k.a. the crew list).
In 2012 Madonna won the Golden Globe with Masterpiece, but the song was uneligible for the Oscars, as the the first FEW SECONDS of the song started before the end of the movie (before the crew list).
