The song, which is lifted from the songbird’s fourth studio album ‘Sweetener,’ has been racking up plays aplenty – on radio and streaming services.

Probably the best song on the album but I don’t see this doing anything like the other ones. She needs to commit to her singles. She almost never does. And she’s definitely had work done on her face, which is probably why every word she lipped in the NTLTC and GIAW videos, and now this have all been performed with the same blank expression on her face. It’s distracting. Like her facial expressions are always in disagreement with her song lyrics…

Well yeah. It is generic, but all of Ariana’s music is generic. Ijs, I think it’s the best on this album, which in my opinion, is not a good album. The song is by no means anything new or creative though. It’s textbook pop music. It could definitely have been on her 2nd album too.
I respect that. Musically I like this album the best I think it’s different and more mature for her but I think vocally it’s a little underwhelming as we expect a lot from her vocally,
True, this album is more mature which is what I wanted from her. But I would still put both Yours Truly and probably Dangerous Woman above it. Sweetener is different and more interesting conceptually than her other efforts, I just can’t find one memorable track on this album that anyone will care about a year from now, and as you said, vocally she didn’t give as much as I would’ve expected. Honestly I think I don’t like the album because I can tell that she got torn between growing musically and appeasing her teenage fans and the balance was off-putting for me. I feel like If you’re going to mature your sound, you need to be all in.

This video could have been so much more. She has the real life subject matter to draw on, but instead it feels like the budget ran out after NTLTC. Conceptually it was reductive (and I like the album) full of beauty shots and not enough substance. Do better girl!
