Jhene Aiko is feeling generous!
Days before Christmas day the performer has released a freestyle named ‘Wasted Love’ which leads the way for the music she intends to drop in the New Year.
There are some feel it may be inspired by her split from rapper Big Sean with whom she recorded the album ‘Twenty88′ back in the April of 2016.

How did we get away from love? How did I get away from us?
Question and more for education not argument:
I never see her chart high yet she’s signed/keeps releasing. Never gets negativity…why?
One – she doesn’t get regular radio airplay but is doing ok on streaming and her album releases have consistently charted in the top 10 of the Hot 200
Two – she enjoys critical acclaim and was nominated for Grammys with her debut ep
Three – I’m assuming her being a low profile performer (does not record songs for Pop radio / does not rely on choreography and the “Pop machine”) yet a constant touring act makes her a profitable act
But most importantly Four – she is DOPE! She is an extremely gifted songwriter and artist who knows how to craft music that is very engaging and involving if you’re into what she does. I usually prefer the big belters but Jhené does a lot with her fairy vocals.
Well said! ALL of those reasons! She most certainly is DOPE!
All true. ?????? Jhene hardly gets any promo. She’s not the best vocalist, but her music is quality and you can tell she doesn’t readily conform to the sound of the mainstream. She does her thing. And R&b artists just aren’t appreciated on the charts these days like they used to be and it’s not their fault.
Because she’s unproblematic, has a following and makes quality music.
