Gaga and Bradley Cooper‘s dynamite duet is one of most biggest talking points from the Fall blockbuster and has touched audiences around the globe; charting worldwide including a Top 5 placing on the Billboard Hot 100.
In an Actors on Actors interview with Variety, the entertainer expressed her surprise at the positive response from the audience describing the song as “one of the most authentic things I’ve written.”
When relaying her take on why the song was a hit that clicked with so many, she said:
“This is a conversation between a man and a woman, and he actually listens to her. And I think we live in a time when this is something that’s really important to women. Women want to be heard.”
Gaga went on to describe the connection between the song and audience as “really beautiful” and “a special thing.” She also heaped praise on the team whom she worked with on the movie – which is hotly tipped for award glory.
It seems like Mother Monster really found her niche on this sublime country ballad and we look forward to seeing whether she draws on it as inspiration for her next album.
