With the New Year upon us, it’s only a matter of time before the Coachella 2019 line-up is announced.
Towards the climax of last year, it was reported that Kanye West, Justin Timberlake, and Childish Gambino had been lined up to top the upcoming instalment of the world-famous festival.
However, recent weeks saw Timberlake’s spot evaporate due to calendar clashes attached to the rescheduling of his ‘Man Of The Woods Tour.’
Now, it looks as though West is out of the picture too.

According to TMZ, negotiations between the rapper and event organisers stalled when an agreement could not be made over the stage.
Per the report, the controversial rapper was firm about not wanting to perform on a traditional 60×40 foot stage because it was “artistically limiting.”
A source close to the star’s side of the situation weighed-in with:
“These 40×60 stages are so archaic. It’s the same type of stage on which Shakespeare’s works were performed hundreds of years ago.”
Organisers, however, wouldn’t budge and Kanye consequently threw up the deuces.
His primary goal post the Saint Pablo Tour is to keep serving spectacle a la the floating stage used on the trek.

Bad call on Ye’s part. But, given much of his recent conduct, it’s hardly surprising.
The reality of the matter is that he’s in desperate need of a platform as big as Coachella to re-affix the focus on his music. Especially with his new album ‘Yandhi’ still awaiting release.
