The performer’s world has been turned upside and down following the unveiling of the channel’s six-part docu-series ‘Surviving R. Kelly‘, and is set to be rocked once again thanks to the scripted movie it is building to lift the lid on more of the star’s perverse secrets.
News of the movie’s conception was announced in the same week the world learned about the ‘Surviving’ series back in May, and saw Lifetime promise to “detail his allegations of abuse and mind games” as part of their Stop Violence Against Women Campaign.
Leading the film’s charge is Ilene Kahn Power who is to build it with help from executive producers Joel Karsberg and Jesse Daniels and will use stories told by his victims to give viewers even more insight into the performer and his apparatus of abuse.
Kelly denies all of the allegations he is faced with. These, including claims he considered murdering one of his victims when she stole one of his sex tapes, defecated and urinated on a child and molested the late singer Aaliyah when she was a minor.
A premiere date is yet to be set.
