Are you one of millions who searched for the infamous R. Kelly sex tape after watching Lifetime’s explosive documentary, ‘Surviving R. Kelly’?
If so, xHamster – one of the world’s leading porn sites – has a few words for you:
As Kelly continues to learn of artists petitioning to have their songs penned by him removed from streaming platforms (click here to read more), porn sites are following suit by banning the upload or viewership of the tape that features the singer allegedly having sex with and urinating on a teenage girl.
Thanks to the documentary, xHamster reports searches for the flick have increased 388% – news they are most displeased with. Releasing an official statement, reps from the site said:
“The R Kelly tape is not on xHamster, nor would we ever allow it to be. Regardless of the news or sensation, a tape featuring underaged is both illegal and immoral. Rather than search for it elsewhere, please consider that in searching for and viewing such content, you may be re-victimizing a minor who could not consent.”
Going forward, they are reportedly “disabling searches and putting up messages” to warn anyone searching for the content that it is not only illegal but also unacceptable.
