Despite decades of sexual abuse accusations, singer R. Kelly can boast one hell of a devoted female fanbase.
Arrested last Friday (February 22) after being formally indicted on 10 counts of sexual abuse (including indecency with minors), Kelly entered not guilty pleas across the board. Then, just days after word from his lawyer, Stephen Greenberg, dominated press that he was unable to pay for his own bail due to his ‘finances being in a mess’ (click here to read more on that), the Grammy-winner was released from the custody of the Cook County Jail thanks to a mystery donor.
Now, the Chicago woman who paid his bail has been revealed. Details inside:
Valencia Love, 47, of Romeoville, Illinois posted the $100,000 bail for accused child rapist R Kelly on Monday [February 25]. Love owns a number of restaurants according to [official court] records obtained by DailyMail.com as well as a childcare facility, the Lord and Child Christian Day Care.
When contacted by a local news outlet concerning the bail, she responded:
‘If your friend was in trouble, wouldn’t you bail them out? We’ve heard their side,” she said. “We’ll wait for his side to come out.”
When asked if the money was hers or if she was paying on behalf of an anonymous donor, Love defensively responded:
“He’s out,” she said. “It doesn’t matter who (posted it).”

To Love’s credit, she was not the only of his female friends and/or fans looking to secure his freedom as, just days after his detainment, a GoFundMe was launched to aid the embattled star with raising funds for bail (click here to read more on that).
The news above surfaced just hours after Michael Avenatti, the lawyer representing some of R. Kelly‘s child abuse survivors, has revealed that the performer has violated his bail conditions by visiting the same McDonalds he used to frequent to target African-American children (click here to read more on that).
The offense above, in addition to reports the singer is being investigated for ‘criminal failure to pay child support,’ could means Love’s investment was in vain as he could be right back behind bars before this Friday.
