Appearing before a Chicago judge this morning after being held since Friday on $1 million bail (which, to-date, he has not paid), the 52-year-old formalized his claim of innocence.
It’s a move which means that a trial is a certainty.
Following the now infamous tape that led to his 2008 case, this would serve as the singer’s second for near-identical crimes.
As reported, the re-probing of Kelly’s conduct came on the heels of controversial Lifetime docu-series ‘Surviving R. Kelly’ – which spotlighted the claims of several women who say the star sexually abused then, most commonly in their teens.
