It’s official! Janet Jackson will be performing at Glastonbury 2019!
Long rumored, confirmation came moments ago with an announcement of more acts for the world-renown festival.
Details below…
Set to take place June 26th – June 30th, this year’s instalment of the music extravaganza will be headlined by Stormzy (Friday), The Killers (Saturday), and The Cure (Sunday).
However, the rest of the bill is arguably most exciting. For, Jackson leads a list of names that includes now includes Lauryn Hill, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus, Stefflon Don, Vampire Weekend, and Liam Gallagher.
The slot at the UK spectacle serves as quite the coup for Jackson, who hasn’t performed in the region for over 8 years.
More broadly, the event (which takes place at Worthy Farm) is globally hailed as a musical must and this year is receiving praise for its bold stride towards more gender equality. For, 42% of all acts performing are female (despite the three headliners being male). Previous headliners include Beyonce and Kanye West.
Tickets sold-out almost instantly upon going on-sale last Fall. However, returned tickets formally go on-sale on April 28th. Click here for info on how to snap them up.
