As reported, the rapper found herself at the center of an assault investigation after ‘Love & Hip-Hop’ castmate Brittney Taylor claimed she was punched by the femcee backstage at a concert in New York.
At the time, sources close to Remy said that’s not what transpired. And while it’s not known whether she still asserts innocence, what is for sure is that she handed herself into authorities today (May 1st) and has been booked for misdemeanor assault.
Interestingly, Taylor is also said to be in the midst of filing a civil suit against Rem ($$$) and has requested that authorities preserve all evidence in their criminal investigation for that purpose too. This includes CCTV footage.
Taylor’s lawyer insists she is the victim and told TMZ that he “has confidence in our system of justice and will continue to fully cooperate with the authorities.”
Remy, who recently gave birth to a baby girl, was previously incarcerated for six years for assault with a deadly weapon.
