Tory Lanez has no time for colorism and isn’t willing to let it slide.
I got mad respect for @torylanez . That video has tears in my eyes … of joy. I’m a crybaby , yes. But colorism is real. Happy to know that there are actually men that stand up for women on topics like that. Nothing but respect 😅❤️💯

Watch what happened when he discovered that a director he was working with pulled an African-American model from his video and replaced her with a lighter-skinned peer below…
He had this to say about the unfortunate situation…
WHAT IM NOT GOING TO DO IS ALLOW ANY OF THESE DIRECTORS TO DE-VALUE OUR BLACK WOMEN. Countless times I’ve seen directors swap out our women of color for women of lighter complexion, or women with straighter hair ETC.
His fans celebrated his no-nonsense approach.
Need to see more people like Tory Lanez to speak up and stand up against colorism in all forms.

@torylanez Had to stop a director from swapping a dark skinned woman with an ambiguous one for his music video. It’s bittersweet, really. 2019 and colorism is still so prevalent.
